Jasper, Canada

Sorry, I would've invited ya'll but this last trip was a surprise even to me. Kimball and Ryan concocted the best ever fly fishing/mtn biking/wildlife/hotsprings/waterfall tour of canada.

Four glorious days...check out the pics and plan a trip yourself.

The drive from Calgary through Banff, Lake Louise, and on to Jasper was full of awesome views and wildlife galore.

Have a Sue Pie

Just for once, I thought I'd let ya'll know about a trip in advance for those of you who like to plan ahead. There's a group hiking into havasupai indian reservation in the grand canyon the weekend of oct 7-9. It's a 10 mile hike and a lot of switchbacks so be prepared....but it is so incredibly worth it when you get to the two huge waterfalls (about 70ft) and the campsite is right between the two. Call soon because space fills soon. The number for reservations at the campsite is 928-448-2141 and they're open 8-3. If you get a busy number keep trying. It costs $25/person for entry and $10/person/night for camping. We're staying friday and saturday nights. Probably will try to drive out there thursday night and hike in friday and out sunday.

Beach Vespers

We're headed out to San Onofre this friday night for a big bonfire and beach vespers. Bring your guitars, harmonicas and edibles...i'll try to have some grillers and/or veggie dogs. We'll be there by 6pm, so show up whenever you can for some full moon jamming. Maybe even some night surfing for the adventurous. We're going to try to find the SDA church out there sabbath morning then back to the beach for some surfing. Come on out...the surf is supposed to be the best it's been in a while.

Got dirtbikes?

Kimball found a great new trail in the hills above lake silverwood last weekend and and now we know where to get fabulous mexican food at lake gregory. Calling all people with dirtbikes to come out and play any time! I'm still looking for the dirtbike I have a title to...strange, I know, long story.

Lake Nacimiento

I learned how to do a 180 on the wakeboard and ryan got a great jump start off a rock with the wakeboard. The cliff jumping was fun too except for kimball's contacts that went missing then re-appeared. Thanks to lisa for bringing the boat. Let's go again soon!

New Zealand

It's a good time to start thinking about what you'll be doing about a year from now. Kimball and I have been dreaming up plans for a year in New Zealand and you all should visit. There are plenty of jobs for doctors and i'm sure others too. Check it out at Global Staffing or one of the other international staffing companies. They really cover everything, although you don't make a ton. How does a 40-50 hour work week sound to those of you who are residents or students? Jeff, are you coming too? It would be great to have as many as possible of you out there so we could meet up in all the fun locations.

ps surfing last weekend with stephanie, heather, brian and jeff and crashing at liz and scott's last weekend was fabulous. thanks scott and liz!

Last weekend in Baja

Yosemite anyone?

Well, just got back from another wonderful Baja surf trip and we're already thinking about the next trip. Two weekends ago we went sailing then the whirlwind 24 hour yosemite trip... kayaking whitewater on the merced river, jumping into waterfalls and of course the obligatory hammock time. But that wasn't enough, we want to go back soon. Let me know when is a good time for everyone.

Kern river kayaking

I'm just dying to get up there and see what the whitewater at the kern river is doing. How about next weekend? Anyone interested...I can drum up at least three kayaks and we could do some rafting too...supposedly great mountain biking up there and hot springs although i haven't been off the river long enough to find them.

ps Ended up on the beach in Baja with the family and jeff (who is practically family) this weekend, not Guadalupe Canyon with scott and mindi. I'll try posting some pictures from Baja and Belize next.

let's see if we can keep the fun times coming. preferably outdoor adventures ie: surfing, sailing, climbing, caving, scuba diving, backpacking, mountain climbing and whatever else you can think of.

ideas for the next trip? catalina camping at two harbors and diving/snorkelling...biking to huntington beach and barbeque...climbing mt. whitney...or whatever suits your fancy.

we are a christian group and appreciate good clean fun...everyone is welcome!

i'll be in belize for a week, so don't have any fun while i'm gone...the adventures begin when i return. =) start getting creative now.
